Kevin the Carrot is on an exciting adventure, sent by Santa himself, to reach St. Mary’s by December 17th in time for the school’s Christmas festivities. So far, his journey has been filled with fun and unexpected stops!
Kevin has already taken in the sights of the Eiffel Tower and even visited a local pub in Colchester. He then drove to Stansted Airport, where he caught a flight to the Isle of Wight. Once on the island, he lent a hand serving customers at Isle Love Sweets shop, spreading Christmas cheer as he went.
But that’s not all! Kevin also visited the historic Carisbrooke Castle, strolled along the beach, and even helped out at the Vectis Bus Depot, where he cleaned buses and assisted in charging them using their giant bus wash.
With each stop, Kevin is doing everything he can to raise funds for Friends of St. Mary’s School (FOSMS), supporting the children’s education and activities. As Kevin’s adventure continues, where will he go next?

Kevin was supposed to go left, but in classic Kevin fashion, he took a right instead. After a long walk (and a few puzzled glances from locals), he suddenly found himself in front of one of the most famous landmarks in the world — the Eiffel Tower!
“Well, this isn’t the grocery store,” Kevin thought, scratching his head. But as he looked up at the magnificent iron structure reaching into the sky, he couldn’t help but smile.
Tourists around him paused to snap photos, and Kevin, with his bright crown and festive jumper, fit right in. He posed proudly in front of the tower, ready to embrace his unexpected Parisian adventure.
Sometimes, the best journeys begin with a wrong turn!
From the bright lights of the Eiffel Tower to the warm glow of a cozy pub in Stanway, Colchester, Kevin’s journey continues in the most unexpected places.
Tonight, he finds himself reflecting on the magic of the season, surrounded by twinkling lights and festive cheer. It’s not just about where you end up, but the moments you create along the way—and sometimes, the best memories come from the detours.
As he sits quietly by the Christmas tree, Kevin is reminded that the holiday spirit isn’t tied to one place. It’s in the warmth of a friendly pub, the sparkle of a tree, and the joy of unexpected adventures.
Who knows where tomorrow will take him?
Kevin was on a mission. From Stanway to London Stansted Airport, he had one goal: catch his flight. But here’s the thing—he hadn’t told anyone where he was going. Not even himself.
With the Tesla humming quietly, Kevin merged onto the A120, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. “Straight for 30 miles,” the GPS chirped, and he nodded like a secret agent on a top-secret mission.
The A120 stretched out before him, filled with cars zipping by, but Kevin was in the zone. Well, mostly. He did spend a few minutes wondering if Teslas could actually fly (spoiler: they can’t).
Finally, the signs for Stansted Airport appeared. Kevin parked, grabbed his bag, and rushed inside. His heart raced. Which gate? Which country? Was he heading for sunshine or snow?
As he stood in front of the departures board, Kevin grinned.
Where was he going?
Only time would tell.
When Kevin’s plane landed, he blinked at the sign. Isle of Wight. “Hmm,” he muttered, scratching his head. “This isn’t Woodham Ferrers… Is Woodham even an island?” Probably not. But Kevin was here now, and adventure awaited!
His first stop was the Isle Love Sweets shop, a colourful little place bursting with jars of fudge, lollipops, and chocolate-covered everything. Kevin rolled up his sleeves and helped behind the counter, handing out sweets to excited customers. He even got paid in gummy worms—delicious!
Next, he visited Carisbrooke Castle. Kevin wandered through the ancient stone walls, imagining himself as a brave knight defending the castle. He waved to the donkeys and climbed the tower, feeling like a king at the top.
After that, it was off to East Cowes Beach. The sand was warm, and the sea sparkled under the sun. Kevin dipped his toes in the water and built a sandcastle—well, more of a sand lump, but it still counted. But the best part of the day? Kevin was invested into the 1st Northwood Scouts Troop! Isle of Wight Scouts Wearing his new scarf, he climbed a rope like a true adventurer, feeling like he could conquer any challenge.
And tomorrow? Who knows where Kevin would end up next!
Today, Kevin headed to the Southern Vectis - the island's buses Depot. His lifelong dream? To drive a bus. But today, he got to do the next best things: First, he helped charge the electric buses, plugging in the giant cables like a pro. “It’s like charging a phone,” Kevin said proudly, “but way bigger!” Then, he climbed aboard to clean the buses, wiping down seats and polishing windows. And finally… the grand finale: the bus wash machine. “Ready?” the mechanic grinned. “Let’s do this!” Kevin beamed as the bus rolled through, soap and water splashing everywhere. It was like a car wash, but better!
As the sun set, Kevin stood beside a sparkling clean, fully charged bus, tired but happy. Today, he’d conquered castles, climbed ropes, and powered up buses.
Where will tomorrow take Kevin?
